Mithra


MITHRA is a Sanskrit word meaning 'friendship'. Friendship to MITHRA means extending a warm welcome to physically and mentally challenged children.

MITHRA Rehabilitation Center in Chennai, India - "MITHRA" as it is popularly referred to was established in the year 1977. MITHRA caters to the relief and rehabilitation needs of children and young persons with physical and mental disabilities caused by polio, cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome and other mental disabilities. Services are made available to all without any discrimination of religion, caste, creed, gender and financial or social status and majority of the children are from poorer sections of society.

A unique feature of MITHRA is that it offers the differently abled a variety of services all under one roof: Special School, Occupational & Physiotherapy, Vocational Training, Residential facility, Psychiatry Department and an Out Patient Dpartment that is open to the public.

PremAshram


The Prem Ashram Charitable Trust, Amadalli was registered on 10th January 2008 under No. KWR-4-00043/07-08. The vision of the Trust is to decrease illiteracy, poverty, hunger, and disease substantially among the underprivileged and socially disadvantaged citizens. The mission of the Trust is to create and support programs that will lead to sustainable changes aimed at upliftment of the lives of economically and socially disadvantaged youth, women, senior citizens, and disabled citizens irrespective of religion, cast, gender, colour, and creed.
